Excitement builds for the Global Tire Expo

July 29, 2012

Both exhibitor and hotel registrations are up for the 2012 Global Tire Expo, which will be held in conjunction with the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, Nev., this fall.

Hotel reservations for the show and exhibitor registrations are up 31% and 7%, respectively, from this time from last year, according to the Tire Industry Association (TIA). So far, 231 exhibitors have signed on just to show at the Global Tire Expo portion of the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Of those exhibitors, 42 will be making a first-time appearance at the expo.

"With this much anticipation cumulating this long prior to the event, TIA expects that the 2012 Global Tire Expo will exceed the popularity of last year’s convention, which saw the record breaking attendance of 132,000 industry business leaders and 61,000 buyers," says TIA.

“GTE gave me great information that helped to better my business,“ says Bob Wilson, commercial operations manager of Admiral Tire & Auto Centers in Annapolis, Md. “The wide variety of information that the different exhibitors offered was thoroughly updated to help business owners manage what was happening in the industry today.”

The 2012 Global Tire Expo-Powered by TIA is a part of the 2012 SEMA Show.  Tire Industry Association special events take place Monday, Oct. 29. The Global Tire Expo and SEMA Show will be held Tuesday, Oct. 30 through Friday, Nov. 2 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
