ASA and its clients are riding a cloud

July 25, 2012

ASA Automotive Systems is experiencing a huge surge in the popularity and number of clients taking advantage of its cloud-based hosting services.

“As our customers look for ways to meet their complex and expanding IT demands and live within budget constraints at the same time, we expect continued growth of our cloud hosting services,” says Scott Hopkins, vice president of operations. “ASA’s 'Cloud Strategy' provides speed and simplicity for our clients."

ASA began offering a hosted solution to its customers almost seven years ago. The number of clients utilizing ASA’s cloud-based offerings has gradually continued to increase every year.

In 2011, ASA migrated to a new SAS 70 Type II certified hosting facility environment and completely redesigned the infrastructure architecture that supports its customer base. In the last year, the growth rate of ASA clients opting for a cloud-based solution has risen dramatically; ASA says its growth rate since the beginning of the year is 40%.

The data supporting this growth market is overwhelming as research from top tier analysts and industry observers has clearly established. The Saugatuck Technology 2012 Global Cloud Business Software Survey: Data Report affirms this trend, citing that the preference of deploying on-premise new business software will decline from 50% to 18% by 2014. The report’s data suggests rapid and massive Cloud use growth from 2014-2016.
