July 23, 2012

Beck/Arnley announced that Chris Kern has rejoined the company after an 11-year hiatus as the regional sales manager for the Northeast. Kern is filling the position that was left vacant with the recent retirement of John Murphy.

Kern has 35 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, working in several different key areas such as operations, sales, marketing and sales management. In addition to spending 27 of those years with Beck/Arnley, he also served as director of distribution sales for IMC as well as a general manager with AutoPartsSource.

“As a veteran of the automotive aftermarket, we feel extremely fortunate to have Chris return to Beck/Arnley to work with our foreign nameplate customers in the Northeast region,” said Matt Lundh, director of sales for traditional markets and program groups for Beck/Arnley.

“His in-depth knowledge of the industry as well as Beck/Arnley will prove to be invaluable in his new position. With the retirement of John Murphy, Chris is the perfect person to take over this important customer base. On that note, we would like to thank John for his many years of dedicated loyalty and service to Beck/Arnley.”

Kern received his undergraduate degree in business from California State University, Fullerton and his master’s degree in marketing from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks. In 2002, he received the Auto International Association (AIA) Lifetime Achiever recognition.
