Shea leaves RMA, interim replacement named

Feb. 19, 2008

Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) CEO and President Donald Shea has resigned. He has been replaced by Charles Cannon, while a search is being conducted for a permanent replacement.

Shea, who had been with the RMA since 1997, has resigned "to pursue other opportunities," say RMA officials.

Cannon is president of Cannon Consultants, a firm dedicated to management, funding and consulting services for trade associations and other groups.

In the past, he has served as CEO for Land Mine Detection Systems, Inc.; was co-founder and vice president for New Product Development Consortium, a venture capital consortium; and he was executive vice president for the Composting Council and the Composting Council Research and Education Foundation.

The search for Shea's permanent replacement is expected to last three to six months.
