VDO expands REDI-Sensor coverage

July 16, 2012

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered TPMS replacement parts, has added a third multi-application tire pressure monitoring system sensor to its REDI-Sensor line.

The addition expands the total application coverage to more than 80% of TPMS-equipped vehicles on the road in North America. According to Steve Landis, VDO TPMS product manager, “Shops that carry these three TPMS sensor part numbers can handle practically every domestic and import vehicle that comes in for TPMS service.”

VDO REDI-Sensor is a seamless, multi-application solution for TPMS service. It provides a broad range of coverage for cars, vans, SUVs, crossovers and light trucks from 2002–2012 and beyond. Every VDO REDI-Sensor is OE-validated, comes pre-programmed and is ready to use out of the box.

VDO REDI-Sensor works with all major TPMS scan tools and is designed to follow existing original equipment vehicle relearn procedures.

“With VDO REDI-Sensor, we are constantly researching and validating new vehicle applications daily -- ensuring that our REDI-Sensor coverage continues to grow and our customers are ready to take advantage of all service opportunities,” adds Landis.

Overall vehicle coverage for the REDI-Sensor line now includes: Chrysler, Ford, GM, Honda, Hummer, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Lexus, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Scion, Suzuki, and Toyota.
