Erwin-Penland hirers 20-year veteran in the automotive industry

Longtime tire industry public relations veteran John Taylor has been hired by Erwin-Penland as a group account director. His PR responsibilities will include working with Michelin North America Inc.

Previously, Taylor worked for Trone Inc., a marketing firm in High Point, N.C., where he was vice president in charge of public relations. During his nine-year stint at Trone, Taylor managed the Uniroyal tire account for Michelin.

Prior to Trone, Taylor served as public relations director for the former Bridgestone/Firestone Inc. in Nashville.

Taylor's 20-year automotive industry background "will be tremendously beneficial to our work on behalf of Michelin and the opportunities that exist within the International Center for Automotive Research being developed here in Greenville by BMW and Clemson University," says Barry Finkelstein, director of integrated marketing.
