TDW celebrates 25th anniversary

May 30, 2012

Tire Dealer's Warehouse (TDW), a division of Hercules Tire and Rubber Co., recently held a celebration to commemorate its 25-year anniversary.

An open house was held at its original TDW warehouse location in Compton, Calif., for its customers, their families and other TDW friends from the greater Los Angeles area.

The celebration had an ‘80s theme, “Tooootally TDW,” to acknowledge the era of the 1987 opening, the company notes.

There were 17 vendor booths with tire displays and specials such as prize drawings for flat screen TVs and iPads.

Greg Wilson, the Hercules Tires-sponsored race car driver, was in attendance with his family and his "Herculized" sprint car.

Activities included a remote control rock crawling adventure, a Formula One race car driving simulator, and a Wheel of Fortune. Several tricked-out trucks and cars were on display.

To carry out the ‘80s theme, break dancers entertained the crowd and guests visited a 1980s memorabilia table. A photo booth was also on site so customers and team members could get pictures to remember the event.

“TDW has been dedicated to the success of its dealer customer base for a quarter century and has stood by the commitment: ‘We are your supplier, not your competitor,’” the company notes. “This commitment has proven successful, as nearly 100 customers who started buying from TDW Compton in May of 1987 are still buying today.”

Those long-time dealers who attended were recognized at the event.
