The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has announced more dates for the successful 2012 Certified Automotive Tire Service (ATS) Instructor Training Tour.
The latest Tour stops to be added are:
- July 23-26: Phoenix - Glendale Community College, 6000 W. Olive Ave., Bldg. T2, Room 116, Glendale, Ariz. 85302;
- July 24-27: New Orleans - Delgado Community College, 615 City Park Ave., Bldg. 40, New Orleans, La. 70119
Other upcoming training tour classes are:
- June 19-22: Boston - MassBay Community College, Ashland, Mass.
The Certified ATS Instructor Program is a four-day in-depth classroom and hands-on class that industry professionals must successfully complete in order to return to the dealership(s) to train technicians to prepare them for certification.
Certified ATS includes safety guidelines and step-by-step procedures for all aspects of passenger and light truck tire service including wheel installation with the proper torque and tire repair. It also includes a full day of instruction on Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS.
