BFNT rolls out new Potenza UHP tires

Feb. 8, 2008

Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC (BFNT) has introduced two additions to its Bridgestone Potenza ultra-high performance tire line: the Potenza RE760 Sport and the Potenza G019 Grid.

The Potenza RE760 is "an evolution" of the Potenza RE750 and offers an "Asymmetrical Rigid" tread design that "facilitates high cornering force at a low steering angle," say BFNT officials.

The tire, which is available March 1, is designed for sports, passenger and compact tuner cars.

The Potenza G019 Grid's "technologies and design improve on areas of concern to the consumer, most notably wet and dry handling."

It contains Bridgestone's UNI-T technology and will be available this spring in 27 sizes, ranging from 15 to 18 inches in diameter. The tire will be available in H and V speed ratings.

The tires were officially unveiled earlier this week at the Chicago Auto Show.
