High marks for Nexen summer tires in Germany

May 1, 2012

Nexen Tire Corp. has announced results of tire tests the company says show that Nexen’s summer tires are as competitive in Germany as in the rest of Europe.

Nexen was awarded second place in the summer tire test carried out by promobil, the motorhome magazine, as well as coming 11th out of 50 in the brake test carried out by Auto Bild. Auto Bild awarded Nexen with the “recommended” grade.

Promobil, the motorhome magazine gave second place to the Nexen CP321. The CP321‘s two sizes (225/65 R 16 C and 235/65 R 16 C) were fitted on different vehicles and performed well against the tester’s requirements. Nexen’s results were supported by an above-average grade awarded to its wet profile tires.

The CP321 scored well in braking performance, side control, handling and anti-aquaplaning abilities. The tire also has good dry grip and a smooth, quiet ride.

Auto Bild was looking for “Germany’s best summer tire” in one of its recent issues.

Fifty products were tested in both wet and dry conditions in the first part of the test. The Nexen N8000 in 225/45 R 17 W size earned 11th place, ranking it among the best of the tires offered in Germany.

The test included measuring braking distance. The magazine’s tire specialists praised its smooth, quiet ride and the above-average anti-aquaplaning features.
