GITI Tire (USA) Ltd. says the new GT Radial Champiro UHP1 is for consumers wanting an affordable ultra-high performance (UHP) tire that delivers good cornering and stopping performance.
There are 26 sizes now available and ready to ship, with 43 sizes targeted for North America. The Champiro UHP1 fits a broad range of sports sedans, coupes and roadsters. The tire provides summer ultra-high performance with the added flexibility of an M+S rating. The Champiro UHP1 comes in W- and V-speed-rated sizes in 15 to 20-inch rim diameters.
Features of the Champiro UHP1 include attention-grabbing big pattern blocks on the shoulder, with strong cornering force. A tread formula featuring high silica content also contributes to the tire's dry and wet handling.
An optimized pitch variance design reduces noise, while the four straight grooves in the tread help ensure water evacuation. The center rib design delivers straight line stability and crisp steering response.
