Developed with the help of orange oil technology, the Ascend is a low rolling resistant tire, according to Fred Koplin, director of marketing communications.

“When tire rolling resistance is reduced, trade-offs can occur in traction, tread wear and handling. Lower rolling resistance requires design advancement to minimize the impact of these trades-offs.”

Koplin says Yokohama engineers have found a way to overcome these trade-offs in the AVID  Ascend.

“The tire delivers low rolling resistance and does so without sacrificing on all-season performance, superior comfort, enhanced traction and handling and long tread life.”
