Raybestos brakes help Denny Hamlin secure his first phoenix win

March 6, 2012

Denny Hamlin proved to race fans across the country that Joe Gibbs Racing and Raybestos Brakes & Chassis will be a driving force during the 2012 race season. His win at the Subway Fresh Fit 500 in Phoenix was Hamlin’s 18th career Cup victory. Including the Budweiser Shootout, this race marks the third Sprint Cup win for Raybestos Racing brakes this season.

Teammates Kyle Busch and Joey Logano, both running the Raybestos Racing brakes package, finished 6th and 10th respectively. Greg Biffle, of Roush Fenway Racing, achieved an impressive third-place finish running Raybestos Racing brakes.

Hamlin’s new crew chief, Darian Grubb credited the Raybestos Racing brakes package for the No. 11 FedEx Toyota’s precise and responsive braking. “We felt great going into this race. We knew we had the braking power we needed to be competitive and were confident about Denny’s ability on the track.”

The Raybestos Short Track racing brake package, used by NASCAR teams like Joe Gibbs Racing, combines ample stopping power with a considerable weight savings advantage on tracks like Phoenix’s 1-Mile Oval.

For reliable performance, all the Joe Gibbs Sprint Cup racecars are also equipped with Raybestos Racing ball joints and tie rods. The premium-quality chassis parts help fine-tune each car’s suspension setup for optimal grip and handling.
