Winner chosen in Hankook's 'Great Hit' giveaway

Feb. 14, 2012

Wapato, Wash., native Emilie Clayton was randomly selected as the winner of Hankook Tire America Corp.’s “Great Hit” giveaway.

Soo Il Lee, president of Hankook, recently presented Clayton with the key to a 2012 Hyundai Genesis 3.8 sedan at Warren Secord Tire Factory in Kent, Wash.

Clayton, who does not typically enter many sweepstakes, noted that given this win, she may now be entering more of them. She was chosen through a random drawing of more than 44,000 entries.

Hankook’s ongoing rebate and giveaway programs have been well received by consumers and have contributed to the company’s overall success in the U.S. market, the company says.

“With the Hankook brand in the U.S. growing every day, our mail-in rebate promotions generate excitement for consumers, as well as our dealers,” Lee notes.

The “Great Hit” mail-in rebate program was available to consumers who purchased four select tires of any size between Sept. 1, 2011, and Nov. 30, 2011, offering them up to $80 off their purchase. The tires included in the rebate program were the UHP Hankook Ventus V12 evo, the luxury performance touring all-season Hankook Optimo H426 and the performance touring all-season Hankook Optimo H727. No purchase was necessary to enter the giveaway.

Hankook will continue its mail-in rebate program this year with a spring consumer promotion starting April 1, 2012, through June 30, 2012. The details of the program will be announced in March.
