Updates to the Coats 1600 direct drive wheel balancer from Hennessy Industries Inc. include a “Speed Thread” feature that enables technicians to thread the hub nut with the foot pedal.
Other new features include a gas spring assist for lowering and raising the hood assembly, a notification for servicing the balancer after a set number of spins, and LED barrel lighting to illuminate the wheel well.
Also new is an accessory bar with a magnetic strip for techs to attach weights and weight hammer, as well as a cup holder and small trash can.
The company's direct drive technology cobmines the motor and spindle into a single, prebalanced assembly that always stays calibrated to zero. Probalance technology minimizes static and couple unbalance.
