Tirecraft Canada Names New President and VP

Dec. 20, 2016

Tirecraft Canada will welcome new leadership in 2017 as Todd Richardson replaces Corey Miller as the group's president.

Richardson currently serves as senior director of sales and marketing for Tirecraft Ontario, and has helped to building the program and develop sales and marketing initiativs to increase the number of Ontario retail locations from 40 to more than 200. Richardson also is credited with modernizing Tirecraft Ontario with technological improvements and efficiencies and marketing programs.

In addition to the changes at the top, James Channer will take over for Sean Williams as vice president of strategic marketing. Channer joined Tirecraft Ontario in April 2016 as director of brand and business development, and has experience growing franchise and dealer networks in the automotive industry.

All of the changes are effective Jan. 1, 2017.

Miller served as president for five years. Under his leadership, Tirecraft grew from a regionally driven organization to a national retail power house. Points of sale more than doubled during his tenure, from 300 to more than 700.

Miller says, “I’m extremely proud that the Tirecraft organization has been able to grow over the past five years, largely as a result of the great work of my predecessor, Don Gauthier and Vice President of Strategic Marketing, Sean Williams.”

As for the group's new leaders, Miller says, “Both of these individuals have what it takes to bring Tirecraft to the next level of retailing in 2017 and beyond."

Richardson and Channer are committed to growing the Tirecraft brand by strengthening the dealer base, negotiating with key suppliers and continuing to make Tirecraft a household name across Canada, the group says.

“The previous leadership put in place a solid foundation for us to build on”, says Richardson. “I am both honored and humbled to step into the role held by Corey Miller and Don Gauthier. Our future success will be a team effort — and we have an incredible team across the country.

“Our Corporate offices are fully aligned with where we need to go and how we will get there, and we will be sharing this vision at our upcoming national meeting in January.

“One of the most critical parts of our team is our retail and commercial strategic partners, and we have some of the best from coast to coast. When we get to our destination it will be amazing to watch what it does for our partners' businesses and we are all excited to play a part."
