American Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd. has named Brandon Stotsenburg vice president of its North American automotive business, effective Jan. 1, 2017. He succeeds Bob Phoenix, who is retiring.
Stotsenburg’s focus will be to continue the strong Kenda sales and brand building efforts in partnership with its channel partners throughout North America, according to the company.

Stotsenburg has spent the last several years as Kenda's director of business development. He previously led national sales and marketing organizations for Bridgestone Firestone North American Tire LLC and Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.
Kenda’s plans include expanding production and adding new products, according to Stotsenburg. “Kenda will be increasing its production footprint in 2017 and has built a very strong distribution and retail network. We will continue introducing new products designed at our North American Technical Center to provide the product lineup and tools to grow our market share,” he says.
“Kenda uniquely offers premium brand radial and bias trailer, turf, lawn and garden, ATV and light industrial tires in the replacement and OEM channels. We have plans to build our sales and marketing team to utilize these strengths for the future in partnership with our replacement and OE customers.”
Phoenix retires from his position after completing a successful career in the tire business and at Kenda. “We want to thank Bob for his leadership in setting the foundation for our automotive tire business to be an outstanding part of the Kenda business in North America. Bob will always be part of the Kenda family and we wish him happiness in his retirement,” says Yang.
Founded in 1962, Kenda has 11,000 employees among its operations in Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Indonesia, United States and Germany.
