Messenger to Replace Buckholtz at Rice Tire

Mark Messenger started with Rice Tire in 1986. He is the dealership's new vice president of purchasing.

Rice Tire has promoted Mark Messenger to vice president of purchasing, replacing Maggie Buckholtz, who is retiring from the Frederick, Md.-based dealership after 43 years of service.

A 34-year Rice Tire veteran, Messenger has held various positions of increasing responsibility at the dealership, most recently serving as manager of Rice Tire’s Cumberland, Md., branch.

Buckholtz was hired by company founder, Donald B. Rice, as an accounting assistant and has held a variety of roles at the company. Also a board member of the Independent Tire Dealers Group LLC, she will continue to work with Rice Tire as a consultant.
