The 6,400 square feet store was built at 915 Kirkwood Road after a previous structure on the property was razed. Plaza Tire built an eight-bay location designed with its traditional green and red trim.
“As we continue to grow and open new stores, our main focus is always customer satisfaction,” says Scott Rhodes, vice president of Plaza Tire Service. “Our stores feature large windows that overlook the shop area for customers to see what’s happening as our technicians service their vehicles. We also offer numerous seating options, televisions and complimentary Wi-Fi to ensure customers are comfortable in our showroom area.”
Like many other Plaza Tire Service locations, the Kirkwood store was built with space to stock about 2,000 tires. This is a key tenet of the company's business to serve customers quickly. Inventory is replenished from the company's warehouse and distribution center in its hometown of Cape Girardeau, Mo. The store also offers a full menu of automotive services and repairs.
“Kirkwood’s a great area, and we’re excited to be doing business here,” says Mark Rhodes, president of Plaza Tire Service. “We’ve got a good-looking store with a huge selection of tires and top-of-the-line equipment for installation. And most importantly, we have an outstanding crew in place to run it.”

Plaza Tire Service holds the No. 19 spot on the MTD 100. Its stores are located throughout Missouri, as well as Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky and Northern Arkansas. Mark and Scott Rhodes, the brothers who own and operate the company their father founded in 1963, were the winners of Modern Tire Dealer's Tire Dealer of the Year Award in 2017.
