Leeds West Groups Moves Into Colorado Springs

Dec. 7, 2020

Leeds West Groups has expanded into a new market — Colorado Springs — with the purchase of two Big O Tires stores. The acquisition gives Leeds West 18 stores in Colorado, and 109 total locations across the U.S.

The two stores, located in Colorado Springs and Monument, Colo., were purchased from Lone Star Investments LLC, owned by Tony Porras, who built both locations 20 years ago as a Big O Tires franchisee. Leeds West Groups took over ownership and operations on Dec. 6.

“We have had our eye on the Colorado Springs market for the last 18 months from a strategic growth standpoint, as we focus on growing out the I-25 corridor between our Denver and New Mexico markets," says Judd Shader, CEO of Leeds West Groups. "We are very excited about this strategic growth into Colorado Springs."

The addition gives Leeds West Groups 11 Big O Tires stores in Colorado, and 18 locations overall (the business also operates Midas and SpeeDee Oil franchises.) The Colorado Springs market stores will be under the district management of Trey Good, and the leadership of Leeds West Group's Vice President of Big O Tires James Gould and Chief Operating Officer Derek Wessels.
