VIP Inc. has opened its sixth store in Massachusetts, and 62nd location in New England.
The VIP Tires & Service opened in Worcester on Dec. 16.
“Opening the first VIP store in Western Massachusetts is something we don’t take lightly — we’re thrilled to grow in this region of the state,” said Tim Winkeler, CEO and president of VIP Tires & Service. “With an existing presence in other parts of Massachusetts, we hope this expansion will allow Worcester residents to experience our top-notch customer service and unique tire and service offerings. Plus, with our shop’s close proximity to local colleges and universities, we aim to be a solution for all students across this city."
In July the company moved into and began renovations of a former Midas store. The 8,200 square-foot store includes eight service bays and onsite tire storage space for 2,500 tires. The store opens a full array of automotive services, and the open concept customer waiting area features a laptop bar, a coffee and tea bar, renovated restrooms, and a TV sitting area.
John (Jay) Hassett, an experienced automotive service manager, recently joined the VIP team as manager for the Worcester store. He'll be part of a nine-person team at the Worcester location.
