RNR Tire Express Franchisee Will Add 58 Locations

Nov. 10, 2016

SPF Management Co. LLC has signed a franchise deal to bring 58 RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels (RNR) locations to parts of the Southeast region within the next 10 years.

Husband and wife team Shannon and Cynthia Strunk of Gulf Coast L&P currently operate 12 RNR shops throughout Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Tennessee, and the Florida panhandle. The couple signed a new agreement to develop 58 additional locations throughout those same states by 2026. They are experienced in business ownership, also owning 50 Baber’s locations, a rent-to-own furniture, electronics and appliances retailer.

The agreement is the latest in a string of deals from existing RNR franchisees who are reinvesting in the fast-growing brand, according to Larry Sutton, founder and president of RNR Tire Express & Custom Wheels and owner of SPF Management Co., which offers RNR franchises.

The company says strong consumer demand for RNR’s pay-as-you-go tire and wheel business model is driving the growth in franchises. With its convenient, no hassle payment plans that fit each client’s budget, the company says it offers and professionally installs high quality tires and custom wheels to a growing underserved market. The business model allows clients to pay off name brand tires and wheels on a weekly or monthly plan that is affordable to them.

“RNR was founded on the principle that people should be able to afford the tires they need and the wheels they want,” says Sutton. “In addition to our unique business model, our best-in-class service and follow up maintenance has truly propelled RNR to become the go-to dealer for affordable quality tires and custom wheels. At RNR, we’ve established a new way to buy tires.”

RNR has evolved over the years and has developed into the go-to tire and wheel retailer it is today, according to Shannon Strunk. “As a result of the increased demand for RNR’s products and services coupled with the success of our current 12 locations, it was a no brainer for us to decide to open as many stores as we could in the Southeast.”

Other recent newly signed franchise agreements with existing RNR franchisees include a 14-unit deal in Virginia and a four-unit deal that will expand the brand’s presence in Indiana and Kentucky.

Founded in 2000 by Sutton, RNR has since grown to almost 100 locations in 22 states. The brand has experienced significant organic growth with 16 franchisees operating 86 locations. Over the past 15 months, RNR has opened a new store every month. The company looks to continue the brand's expansion across the county and is seeking additional qualified multi-unit franchisees in New York, Arizona, Colorado and West Virginia, among other states.

The initial franchise fee for RNR is $35,000 with the total single-unit investment ranging from $400,000 - $600,000. For more information about RNR and its franchise opportunities, visit www.rnrfranchise.com.
