RNR Tire Express plans to add more than 47 locations to its growing network.

RNR Tire Express had a banner year in 2020. During the year, 12 RNR Tire Express franchise stores opened. And there's more to come, as the Tampa, Fla.-based company has signed development agreements to open more than 47 additional stores.

The outlets - destined for markets like Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Colorado, Arkansas, Arizona and New York - will bring the operation "to a total of 421 stores under contract," according to RNR Tire Express officials.

RNR Tire Express achieved $211 million in sales during 2020, a 12.1% increase over prior-year results, continuing a three-year overall growth rate of 89.1%.

Larry Sutton, president of RNR Tire Express, says 2020 "presented its share of unique challenges, but I am so grateful for the dedication and support of our franchisees and team members systemwide for their ongoing commitment."

The company, which celebrated two decades in business last year, recently earned the 175th spot on Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500, jumping up 90 spots since last year's ranking. RNR also earned recognition "as the number-one franchise in its category- tires and wheels," say RNR officials.

In addition, RNR Tire Express "also was recognized on the Inc. 5000 ranking this year, coming in at number 3,953. The national award is hosted by Inc. Magazine and recognizes the fastest-growing privately held companies in the United States. RNR also was ranked by Inc. among Florida's top companies - named #310 in Florida and #79 in Tampa.

"The brand also was recognized in the franchise industry, named among the nation's leading franchise brands on Franchise Times' Top 200+ awards. RNR ranked #252," based on its total sales.
