Marc Pons of Chapel Hill Tire Car Care in Chapel Hill, N.C., is the new president of the North Carolina Tire Dealers Association (NCTDA.)
"Mr. Pons was handed the gavel from the now immediate past president, Frankie Pugh of Pugh’s Tire & Service Centers, Greenville, N.C.," says Reece Hester, the association's executive director.
Marc and his brother, Britt Pons, own nine stores. Chapel Hill Tire Car Care was started in 1953 by their father, Al Pons.
The NCTDA board, during its recent meeting, also congratulated Terry Lewis of Maness Tire for his 14 years of service. Maness Tire has two commercial tire locations - one in Troy, N.C., and another in Rockingham, N.C.
