Il Taik Jung is the new CEO and president of Kumho Tire, the parent company of Kumho Tire USA Inc. Jung has held previous leadership positions at Kumho, including vice president of the tire manufacturer's research and development division.
Jung also served as head of Kumho's manufacturing division.
"With his extensive background in research and development, he will continue to lead and grow Kumho Tire’s dedication to developing innovative and high-performance products," say Kumho officials.
Kumho recently announced plans to add 500,000 units in production capacity at its Macon, Ga., plant.
"As a company, we are headed in a very positive direction and part of our strategy is to increase our production capacity ahead of the growing demand in order to ensure product availability for our customers and support the continued growth of partnerships in the North American market," says Jung.
