Firestone Brand Truck Tire Prices to Increase in May

April 1, 2021

In response to continued escalating raw material costs, Bridgestone Americas Inc. is announcing it will increase prices by 8% on Firestone brand truck and bus radial tires sold in the U.S. and Canada, effective May 1.

“All Firestone truck and bus tires shipped on or after May 1, 2021 will reflect this increase,” according to Bridgestone officials.

“Members of the Bridgestone commercial sales teams are contacting customers to provide more detailed information about the changes.”

In February, Bridgestone announced that it would raise prices on its entire Bridgestone brand commercial truck tire and Bandag retreading portfolio in the U.S. and Canada up to 8%, effective April 1.

Bridgestone said the increase “is a necessary step as Bridgestone continues to manage increased business costs, including escalating transportation and raw material costs that are forecast to continue into the second half of the year.”
