GB Auto Service, Inc. has expanded its footprint with the acquisition of Goodguys Tires & Auto Repair, an eight-location dealership based in Fresno, Calif. The company now has 192 locations nationwide. More than 180 of those stores sell tires.
Founded in 1976, Goodguys Tires & Auto Repair operates five stores in the Fresno area, plus locations in the California towns of Clovis, Sanger and Visalia.
GB Auto Service's latest deal follows the acquisition of three ServiceONE Automotive stores in the Houston, Texas, area this past December.
Last October, GB Auto Service - which is a portfolio company of Greenbriar Equity Group LP, announced it had acquired Tate Boys Tire & Service, a seven-store operation in northeast Oklahoma. The deal expanded the presence of GB Auto Service into five states.
In August 2020, GB Auto Service acquired more than 30 outlets in Arizona, Nevada and Texas from Sun Devil Auto Service.
