Capacity Is and Will Not Be a Problem for Sentury Tire

Nov. 3, 2016

Qingdao Sentury Tire Co. Ltd. has aggressive goals in the U.S., and is making sure it has enough capacity to meet those goals.

President Lanny Lin says the company's one-year-old Thailand plant will be able to produce 12 million consumer tires annually next year. Sentury produces it own Delinte, Landsail and Sentury tires there, plus private brands, including the Pantera for the Tire Alliance Groupe and Zeta for SD International.

If that is not enough, the company will break ground on a tire plant in LaGrange, Ga., next year. Lee conservatively says the plant will reach its full capacity -- another 12 million passenger and light truck tires -- no later than 2022.

Sentury Tire Americas, the sales and marketing arm for Delinte, Landsail and Sentury tires, is based in Miami. The company is showcasing its latest tires in Las Vegas at the 2016 Global Tire Expo, Booth No. 43215.

The Global Tire Expo is part of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, which will run through Nov. 4.
