Discount Tire and America's Tire are adding an automotive service for consumers at all 1,090 stores, and it extends beyond tires and wheels: windshield wiper replacement.

The nation's largest independent tire dealer has added to its service offerings. In all of its 1,090 stores Discount Tire and America's Tire will sell and then install — for free — windshield wiper blades.

The company says adding windshield wiper blade replacement "is latest initiative by the retailer to modernize a customer experience designed to be easy, inviting and efficient."

Discount Tire is looking for new opportunities to offer services that take care of our customers and help keep them driving safe,” says Marcus Bolland, assistant vice president of Discount Tire. “Customers tell us they appreciate the opportunity to complete an often overlooked safety check and parts replacement at the same time their tire or wheel service is performed. Replacing worn-out windshield wipers at our stores is a natural extension of our trusted expertise and quality service.”

The price of the wiper blades will range from $15 to $23, and Discount Tire technicians can help customers determine the right windshield wiper blades for their vehicle. The company says its stores are stocking wiper blades to fit more than 98% of cars and light trucks, and all of those wiper blades will be from Trico.

Discount Tire says it will also sell windshield wiper blades to customers who opt to install them themselves.
