K&S Tire Recycling Names Mike Lukavsky President

Sept. 30, 2021

K & S Tire Recycling Inc., one of the largest scrap tire processors in the Midwest, has named Mike Lukavsky its new president.

A 29-year tire industry veteran, Lukavsky - who got his start mounting tires while in high school - most recently worked for Liberty Tire Recycling. Prior to that, he held sales positions with Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. - then known as Falken Tire Corp. - and Continental Tire the Americas LLC. He also has worked for various aftermarket auto parts companies.

Based in Chicago Heights, Ill., K&S Tire Recycling hauls and processes more than two million scrap tires per year, with the goal of "preserving the environment, one tire at a time" by finding end users for recycled rubber.

"With the expertise of Mr. Lukavsky as its new president, K & S Tire Recycling hopes to expand its success within the scrap tire recycling industry," say company officials.
