Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) will supply its full line of OTR tires to Edmonton, Alberta-based Fountain Tire Ltd., which has 160 locations across Canada.
"This alliance allows us to expand our OTR footprint in Canada," says Rajiv Poddar, joint managing director of BKT.
"By aligning with Fountain Tire, we are able to serve the growing OTR segment."
According to BKT officials, Fountain Tire selected the tire manufacturer due to its "large product assortment - more than 2,700 tires in total - excellent manufacturing quality and a deep commitment to innovation."
"Our customers have been asking for a more diverse product range," says Yves Richard, senior director of product and supply at Fountain Tire.
"We're delighted to have added BKT tires to our OTR lineup in response. Continually evaluating and building upon our offering of quality products and services is a key part of Fountain Tire's customer service commitment."
Nelson Tonn, Fountain Tire's vice president of sales and mine service, says the addition of BKT "allows us to support the diverse needs of our customers in mining, oil and gas and construction."
