Goodyear Designs Bead-to-Bead OTR Retread

Oct. 14, 2021

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co.'s RT-3B is a bead-to-bead retread designed for loaders and graders.

The company says its off-the-road tire retreads can provide savings of up to 60% compared to the cost of a new tire.

The Goodyear RT-3B retread is available in the U.S. and Canada in two popular sizes: 20.5R25 and 23.5R25. Its features include:

  • new rubber cured in a mold and press from bead-to-bead;
  • low heat generation, long hours to removal and a 115-level tread depth; and
  • cut-resistance and traction provided by its centerline lugs and open shoulder.

“We are always focused on delivering high value and low cost of ownership to our OTR customers,” says Loic Ravasio, general manager of Goodyear's global and Americas OTR business. “The RT-3B is a substantial addition to our retread portfolio providing another great option for operators to help drive efficiency, reduce costs and protect the environment.”

Goodyear has a dedicated OTR retread facility in North Bay, Ontario, and has been retreading OTR casings since 1957.
