Bridgestone Americas Inc.'s tread rubber plant in Abilene, Texas, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The plant produces pre-cure tread rubber, among other items.
"This is a milestone that we are proud to reach, thanks to the dedication of so many who have invested in our plant," says Tom Cunningham, the facility's manager.
The 200,000-square-foot plant has earned a number of certifications over the decades, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
