East Bay Tire Acquires Brandon Tire in California

Feb. 18, 2022

East Bay Tire Co. (EBT) has acquired San Rafael, Calif.-based Brandon Tire Supply, which also does business as Brandon Tire. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

George Pehanick, CEO of East Bay Tire, which is based in Fairfield, Calif., says his company "understands the unique and special community role Brandon Tire has established in its six decades in business. Conducting business in San Rafael is meaningful to the EBT family because of the long-time friendship we have shared with John Brandon and the Brandon family."

Brandon Tire opened in 1960 as a BFGoodrich dealership. As business flourished, the company moved to a bigger facility in 1967.

From there, Brandon Tire expanded into Sonoma and Napa Counties, plus Solano and Contra Costa Counties - all in the northern California region.

EBT officials say Brandon Tire has established "a momentous reputation for offering top-tier products and automobile services."

"We will continue delivering on the same values and standard of service Brandon Tire customers have come to know, as these are fundamental cornerstones of EBT's successful business operation," notes Pehanick.

In its fourth-generation of family ownership, EBT has 13 locations, including nine in California.
