Toyo Combines UHP With All-Weather Performance in Celsius Sport

March 31, 2022

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp. is expanding its all-weather product line with the Toyo Celsius Sport, an ultra-high performance tire designed for luxury cars, CUVs and SUVs.

Like other Toyo Celsius products, the Celsius Sport features the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol and is designed for year-round performance. The tire features high sipe density, multi-wave sipes, zigzag shaped tread blocks, and wide grooves with traction bars to optimize all-weather winter traction.

A specialized silica compound provides  grip in wet and dry conditions, while also maintaining flexibility in cold climates. Toyo says the UHP casing construction improves responsiveness and handling, and also delivers more consistent contact pressure during acceleration, braking and cornering.

“The rapid growth of the Celsius name proves the importance of all-weather convenience and utility to the consumer,” says Cameron Parsons, product engineer and field analyst for Toyo's competition and specialty tires. “As the all-weather category continues to grow in popularity, we are excited to bring these benefits to an audience looking for a higher performance, premium product in the form of the Celsius Sport.”

The UHP tire joins the full line of Celsius all-weather products: the original Celsius, Celsius CUV, and Celsius Cargo for cars, CUVs, SUVs, commercial vans and light trucks.

Toyo says the Celsius Sport is a versatile tire that offers both precise handling and driving comfort. The tire will be available in 43 sizes, fitting 17- to 22-inch wheels and comes with a  mileage warranty of 60,000 miles for V- and W-rated sizes and a mileage warranty of 40,000 miles for Y-rated sizes.
