American Tire Distributors Inc. (ATD) has rolled out the Hercules Strong Guard ST, a premium, high-speed radial trailer tire that is designed for fifth-wheel RVs, utility trailers and other applications.
The Hercules Strong Guard ST replaces the Hercules Power ST2 and fits wheels ranging from 13 inches to 16 inches in diameter.
Features include an optimized footprint for even pressure distribution and longer tread life; a strong rib design that includes four circumferential grooves for efficient water evacuation; Hercules' Coolcourse Technology, a temperature control system that reduces heat generation; extra sidewall protection; and more.
The Hercules Strong Guard ST also sports an increased speed rating of N, equal to 87 miles per hour, "to meet the evolving demands of today's vehicles," according to ATD officials.
"The Strong Guard ST's new features and enhanced performance make it the right tire for a wide variety of towing needs," says Marshall Gillespie, ATD's director of commercial merchandising, proprietary brands.
"The tire's innovative compound and optimized tread depth promote long-lasting wear, while at the same time improving fuel economy."
The tire is backed by the Hercules Performance Promise, with a 60-month limited protection policy.
