Apollo Tyres Ltd. has appointed Daniele Lorenzetti chief technology officer. He also has been named to the the company's management board.
In his new role, Lorenzetti (pictured) will oversee global consumer and commercial research and development initiatives. He will be based out of the company’s European headquarters in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
“Technology being a key pillar for our growth aspirations globally," says Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.
"Daniele, with his rich experience, will take our research and development to the next level. With several tire and mobility related patents against his name, Daniele would help us achieve product leadership in various segments.”
Lorenzetti's last role was Industrial Division product director for Pirelli Tyre SpA, where he spent close to 20 years in various capacities, including product director for original equipment and replacement passenger vehicle tires. Daniele was also associated with Trelleborg Wheel Systems SpA as vice president for R&D for agricultural, forestry and industrial tires.
"I am positive that we will be able to bring out competitive products, which address our global customer needs, and at the same time, are technologically superior,” says Lorenzetti.
