Half of Americans Are Driving Less, Says Hankook Survey

Sept. 2, 2022

Slightly more than 50% of respondents to Hankook Tire America Corp.'s latest Hankook Gauge Index report that they drove less last month due to gas prices.

"This is especially true of older Americans," according to Hankook officials.

Nearly 25% of respondents said they have delayed or canceled travel due to current costs.

The Hankook Gauge Index also surveyed respondents about vehicle maintenance and discovered that "younger generations are more likely to have delayed planned maintenance due to cost. One in five millennials said they have done so in the last 30 days."
