Yokohama Picks New President for Its Tire Business

Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. has named Masataka Yamaishi the new president of the manufacturer's tire business. Yamaishi will assume the new title Oct. 1.

The company announced changes in its senior management at a Sept. 29, 2016, meeting of members of the board. All of the changes are effective Oct. 1.

Yamaishi, who previously was head of the tire business planning division, will retain his other responsibilities as a member of the board and managing officer, head of the corporate planning division and the corporate planning division, in charge of information technology and management system planning division, and president of Yokohama Motorsports International Co Ltd.

Hikomitsu Noji, president and a representative member of the board will give up the job as president of the tire business.

Shuichi Tsukada, an officer and head of the corporate social responsibility divison, will no longer serve as head of the corporate compliance department.

Tadaharu Yamamoto, an officer, has been named the head of the tire business planning division after serving as the acting head of the division. Yamamoto is giving up the responsibilities as head of the tire business planning department.
