Sentury Tire USA has named David Klekamp its technical tire director. A 36-year tire industry veteran, Klekamp will be involved in developing Sentury's product strategy in the United States, among other functions.
Klekamp's career includes "senior positions at Goodyear, Michelin, Ford Motor Company, Kumho Tires, and Maxxis," according to Sentury officials.
"His tire industry expertise covers research, design, development, quality and manufacturing and includes experience working in tire manufacturing plants, quality fields, and project management – specifically in the area of design and development."
Klekamp will report to Maxwell Wee, Sentury Tire USA's executive vice president.
In addition to product strategy, he will oversee "the implementation of test methods, the coordination of quality efforts, overseeing product consumer feedback and managing tire warranty programs."
