A number of companies entered the United States commercial truck tire market in 2022, with new products for a variety of applications.

Sentury Tire USA introduced its Delinte brand TBR lineup during November's Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.

“The full Delinte TBR line includes regional, long haul and off-the-road tires," says Maxwell Wee, executive vice president of Sentury Tire USA.

“We are very confident that our customers will find what they are looking for in our Delinte commercial lineup.”

Ralson Tire North America, a subsidiary of Ralson India Ltd., made its official U.S. debut during the 2022 SEMA Show.

The company's flagship Ralson brand will be sold through larger, full-service commercial tire dealerships that will buy direct from the company.

Ralson North America's other medium truck tire brand, Accelus, will be sold through smaller distributors.

"Ralson's new line of commercial tires was made for U.S. customers," says Jim Mayfield, executive vice president of Ralson Tire North America, who is working alongside commercial truck tire market veteran Brian Sheehey, Ralson's vice president.

The products are manufactured in India, but "we are not taking a tire that does well in India and just dropping it into the U.S. We have built a product that's going to work well in the environment it was made for."

Ralson and Accelus brand truck tires will be available in the U.S. during the first quarter of 2023.

Wholesale Tire Distributors (WTD) is bringing a new brand, American Road Star, to the U.S. market.

Offerings include medium truck tires like the steer/all-position AR 1000 and AR 1100, plus the company's AR 2000 and AR 2200.

WTD also sells Arroyo brand passenger and light truck tires.

"We have a very good distribution base with Arroyo and will build on this with American Road Star," says Patrick Hyland, vice president of sales, wholesale and marketplace for WTD.
