Barstow Retiring From Automotive Distribution Network

Sept. 14, 2016

More than 150 Automotive Distribution Network (Network) members and 100 manufacturing partners gathered for the three-day fall membership meeting in Washington, D.C. During the event Bob Barstow, vice president of marketing, announced his plans to retire at the end of the year after 18 years with the Network.

“Every fall, the Network’s shareholders gather to discuss what’s happening in their respective markets and evaluate new opportunities that may exist collectively for the group,” says David Prater, president of the Network. “The fall meeting also enables the group to continually refine several of its award-winning programs in the areas of marketing, product and IT, while also celebrating our shared successes.”

Members met with the group's manufacturing partners to learn about the status of initiatives under development. A representative from Sophio Software was among the presenters. New marketing initiatives were discussed, and Thomas William Deans, author of "Every Family's Business", talked about succession planning.

The Network operates under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride. For more information, contact Steve Tucker at (901) 682-9090.
