TIA to Host Free TPMS Webinar

Sept. 1, 2016

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) is offering a free webinar on tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) called Stay Up-to-Data with TPMS on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, at 2 p.m. (EDT).

The webinar will be presented by Shawn Pease, TIA director of Automotive Tire Service (ATS). It will provide up-to-date information on TPMS diagnostics, OBD II scan tools and indirect TPMS.

TIA is in the process of updating its Certified ATS Program and will be incorporating more TPMS diagnostics in the curriculum. The next version of Certified ATS will be released in 2017, and attendees will get a sneak peek at to expect with the new material.

“We are excited to give the industry a taste of what’s to come with the new release of Certified ATS in 2017,” says Kevin Rohlwing, TIA senior vice president of training. “TPMS diagnostics are the next step in the evolution of servicing this technology, so our members need as much information as we can provide on how to diagnose and repair an inoperative TPMS. TIA Certified ATS technicians are the most qualified in the industry and the update will help them improve tire safety in the shop and on the highway.”

Interested participants should register online.
