Falken Tire will exhibit four new over-the-highway medium truck tires at the 2016 Great American Trucking Show (GATS), which will be held in Dallas, Texas, Aug. 25-27.
Falken will display the truck tires in booth No. 19105 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
"Showcasing our latest technology and how it can reduce operating costs is the key to our display this year,” says Vice President of Marketing Rick Brennan.
Falken’s engineers focused on four key areas when developing the new lines: longer tread life, even wear, greater durability and low rolling resistance.
1. RI130 EcoRun. The steer tire is specifically designed for line-haul routes and on-highway driving and is equipped with a new tread compound formulated to reduce irregular wear and give more mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
2. RI150 EcoRun. The all-position tire is engineered to maximize mileage in regional haul applications. It includes stone drilling prevention features to protect the tire from casing damage and increase its retreading ability.
3. BI830 EcoRun. The drive tire is a robust closed-shoulder line-haul drive tire engineered with 30/32-inch of tread depth for long mileage, even wear and excellent on highway handling. Falken has increased the tire's performance in wet weather conditions by incorporating a high traction block tread design into the tread pattern.
4. BI850. The regional service drive tire features an aggressive open shoulder tread design well-suited for delivering high traction in many different operating conditions.
In addition to the new tires, Falken says it also will treat attendees to giveaways and "exciting" prizes at its booth.
