Meineke Rolls Out New Look for All Stores, and a New App

Aug. 16, 2016

A new Meineke Car Care Center in Elizabethtown, Ky., is the first in the nation to feature the auto care franchise's new look.

Bryan Brown has been a successful Meineke operator for more than 20 years, and runs 10 centers in the greater Louisville, Ky. area, southern Indiana and Radcliff, Ky. The Elizabethtown shop will host a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Aug. 17, 2016.

“I’m excited to open the first newly branded center," says Brown. "Meineke is a world-class retailer and it’s important that our center image reflects the quality of service and care that we offer our customers."

Meineke says the Elizabethtown center "marks an important milestone." The franchise, owned by Driven Brands Inc., plans to transition all of its 900-plus locations to the new look.

The refreshed image includes a bold, clean exterior branding with an open, airy interior designed for customer comfort while vehicles are being serviced. The store offers complete car care services, including oil changes, brake service, heating and cooling repair, as well as tires with a national warranty. Meineke of Elizabethtown is honoring warranties for previous customers of DLS Tire.

The store is located at 1400 N. Dixie Hwy and is open from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday. Customers can contact the center online or call (270) 737-1160 to schedule an appointment.

A new mobile app

Meineke Car Care Centers LLC also has redesigned its mobile app. The app allows users to book appointments, view Meineke Rewards points and vehicle service history. It also delivers customized service reminders based on vehicle history, and helps users locate nearby centers and view current offers available. Once inside a store, customers can use the app to redeem coupons; iPhone users can use the Wallet feature. Users can save and access information about their favorite Meineke shop.

"We know the average age of vehicles on the road is at an all-time high of 11.5 years old and the older age of vehicles means people are more dependent on their car care partner to maintain vehicle function," says Summer Nunn, vice president of marketing. "Combined with growing demand for customers to have access to information in the palm of their hand, the redesigned Meineke app is poised to be an automotive game changer. Our ultimate goal remains to make the car care process less of an intrusion on everyday life."

The app integrates with Meineke Rewards, a points-based rewards sytem launched in early 2016. Customers receive one point for every dollar spent, and points can be used for free services or towards discounts for high-ticket repairs.
