Hankook unveils new Web site for dealers, consumers

Hankook Tire America Corp. has unveiled a new interactive, user-friendly Web site -- hankooktireusa.com -- that showcases the latest company news and tire information to dealers and the general public.

The Web site was created under the direction of Hankook's marketing division and is "a broad-based, multi-functional creation that conveys Hankook's expanding presence both as a brand name and as a serious contender in the American tire market," the company says.

"Our Web site was devised to be all things to all markets," says Y. M. Park, marketing manager for Hankook Tire. "It's totally practical for the consumer, with functionality that enables drivers to select the right tire for their car or light truck with our 'Tire Guide.'"

Visitors can also find their nearest Hankook tire dealer with the site's "Dealer Locator" section.

The Web site is also used as a showcase for the company's entire Ventus high performance and ultra-high performance lines, tying into the company's new marketing campaign unveiled earlier this year which incorporates an anime (Japanese animation) image coupled with graphics and the tag line "Performance You Can Feel!"

Hankook recently signed an exclusive agreement with the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) to provide sponsorship for the Street Touring S Class in all Tire Rack SCCA Solo II National Tour Events.

Also prominently displayed on the Web site is the company's Dynamic line of light truck tires for pickups, 4x4s and SUVs. "Sport utility drivers, off-road adventurers and the light truck markets are all growing demographics, and we're reaching them successfully via our new site," Young says.
