Robbins LLC has purchased the assets and technology of Presti Rubber Products Inc.
Robbins, based in Muscle Shoals, Ala., manufactures outside and inside envelopes for retreading passenger, truck and small OTR tire casings. It also produces curing tubes. It distributes its products through a global network of independent distributors and regional sales managers.
Prior to the acquisition, Presti produced and distributed outside and inside retreading envelopes for light truck through large OTR tire casings.
Robbins also provides specialized, custom-mixed rubber compounds and services to other rubber product manufacturing companies.
According to Robbins, Presti has "pledged its continuing support to ensure that the transition goes smoothly."
