NGK Spark Plugs Names New President and CEO for the U.S.

Yoshitaka Narita is the new president and chief executive officer of NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.) Inc.

Narita is a managing officer of NGK Spark Plugs Co., Ltd., which is headquartered in Nagoya, Japan. The company says he returns to its U.S. division with a wealth of experience serving in different capacities in the US and overseas. In 1992, he worked in Australia. He then served as general manager of finance and administration at NGK Spark Plug Europe GmbH for eight years and as chief financial officer of NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.) for six years.

Narita most recently served as corporate officer, corporate administration group and also general manager of finance and accounting at NGK Spark Plug Co. Ltd. in Japan, where his career began in 1982.

“I am happy to join the management team at NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.) Inc. as we go forward with a new phase of our business plan,” says Narita.

In North America, NGK is headquartered in Wixom, Mich.,and maintains manufacturing, inventory, and distribution facilities in Irvine, Calif., Sissonville, W.V., and Chicago, Ill.
