The new Kelly Safari Signature SUV tire was officially unveiled yesterday to several key Kelly dealers following a plant tour in Fayetteville, N.C.
The tire has a high-tech tread design that offers a quiet, on-highway ride and long tread wear thanks to an optimized, computer-generated tire shape.
The tire's lower sidewall shape results in a tight rim fit, according to Mark MacDonald, marketing manager for Kelly consumer tires. A square shoulder design and a lower tread pattern ending give an improved appearance, while siping provides optimum traction.
It comes in 15 sizes with 15-, 16- and 17-inch wheel diameters. Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. is currently taking orders for the tire.
