Nitto Tire U.S.A. Inc. is taking its popular Auto Enthusiast Day car show back to Texas for the second year in a row. On May 21, 2016, gearheads from across Texas will converge on Globe Life Park in Arlington for a free celebration of all things wheeled.
The event includes a judged car show, drifting and off-road racing demonstrations by Team Nitto drivers, a vendor midway, prize raffles, and live entertainment.
This is the second Texas Auto Enthusiast Day car show, and the event will feature something for fans of all facets of the automotive culture and lifestyle – from modified import cars to lifted trucks, European sports cars, and American muscle cars.
“We are very proud of what Auto Enthusiast Day has become,” says Harry Kong, brand publishing events and motorsports for Nitto. “What started as a way to celebrate hitting a social media milestone has blossomed into one of the premier automotive events of the year. We are excited to be returning to Texas once again and look forward to continuing to expand the show into other major hubs of automotive culture.”
The main attraction of Auto Enthusiast Day is the car show. Awards will be given to cars and trucks in eight categories, including the new “Nitto Tire King of Texas” award in which judges get to cast their vote for the ultimate lifted truck.
In addition to the car show, Nitto’s sponsored drivers will be giving driving demonstrations throughout the day. Drift racer Matt Powers will slide his car less than an inch from the wall. Off-Road racer and two-time King of the Hammers champion Loren Healey will also be on hand demonstrating the capabilities of his Ultra4 buggy. There will also be a vendor midway featuring the newest products in the industry and displays from the top shops in Texas.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas. Admission is free and the first 500 car show participants also will receive a free gift for being part of the show. Vendor space is free of charge for companies that want to show off their latest products, but space is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
